If you choose to use roll containers instead of pallet transport, you can generally transport more volume because you can load up to 1500mm or as much as 1700mm of useful height. Some roll containers can be loaded even higher. All goods are rolling, so easy to move before “departure” or after “arrival.”
Depending on the type of roll container you would choose, you can disassemble them (remove clamp gates from the bases) and collect them in a few roll cages that you do not disassemble. Stack the individual bases and you have very compact return packing. But it can be simpler. If you were to choose a nestable roll-off container. With a few actions, you can put these containers away compactly in a row. Ask us for advice.
By carefully surveying what your logistics process looks like, a shortlist of types of roll containers can be narrowed down. If you operate in the food industry, then a plastic roll container bottom may be the solution for you. A steel base may also be an option. All because you must comply with HACCP standards. If you are transporting goods that are relatively theft sensitive, then security measures are in order. A completely lockable container is then desirable. And if you specifically want products that have deviating sizes transported, we will get to work for you with a customized solution.
This depends on many things. In general, it can be said that a wheel with a rubber tread is quieter in use, and a harder wheel, say, a polyamide wheel, has lower rolling resistance. The temperature in which the rolling container is used also affects the rolling resistance of the container. So the trick is to choose a wheel that best suits its use.
